i hate ants, by the way
i was really excited to sleep in my own bed last night because i have been having to get up early these last few days, and i was so stoked to sleep in.
i went into my room at about 2 a.m., and saw a dang ant on my pillow. even though i have roughed in the jungles, no one likes ants on their pillows! so i looked around, and whatta you know?! a trail of ants coming in my room from one of the stupid little holes in my room…yes, my room has holes randomly, where i can see the light from outside. (mainly in the electrical outlets.)
so needless to say, i was pissed, and had to sleep in the living room. i slept in, but now i don’t want to sleep in my room until the summer.
DISCLAIMER: don’t think i’m a slob and have nasty trash in my room…it’s because it’s cold, and my room is warm, and oh! i have holes that lead straight for my room!
i hate being the person who tells everyone it’s their birthday…but today is/was my birthday. and it was probably one of thee best.
spent it with special family and friends the Lord has brought into my life, and i couldn’t have asked for a better day.
i’ll post pictures later…not from my camera, though. know why?? oh, right, i’m totally lame and FORGOT MY CAMERA!!!!
anyway thanks to those who came out and celebrated…it meant so much to me, you don’t even know!

huge earrings have always been my thing. i tend to feel awkward if i have little one’s on..glad i’m on the right track, and glad there will be an overabundance in the stores.

lights are up!
ok, after two days of on and off work, i finally finished my homemade christmas lights.
it took me kind of forever to trace and cut everything. and then i found out i made double of what i needed…yeah, wreck, i know.
after i sewed them all, it was time to stuff them. i have never sat and hand stitched for so long in my 18 years of living. but it was rewarding. i stayed up till 4 am on thursday to get them all done.
put on all the little green “hooks,” then it was time to string em. this folks, took the whole wedding singer movie to do since i had to fasten the lights to the ribbon. again, i had to hand stitch all the lights to the ribbon…
TADA!! they’re done!! i was thee most excited person when i put them up. a great sense of satisfaction came upon me while taking this picture. i feel accomplished, to say the least.
p.s. can you tell i love my new phone with its kickin camera?!
